Once this heat wave lifts, we’re going to have some perfect sunny and 75 days here in Boston. With the phenomenal response that local restaurants and bars have had to ensure the safety of their guests and staff, there is abundant opportunity for mindfully curated summer nights.
Now where shall we go to sip on crisp beverages, talk about how long AND short 2020 has been, and make hopeful plans for 2021? If there’s one Boston neighborhood with the best spots for socially distanced get togethers, it is without a doubt the Seaport. Adjacent to our city’s shore, a walk through the Seaport on a nice summer day is a refreshing tour of modern architecture and 100 year old warehouses alike. Ready for dinner or drinks? Here are our favorite spots to safely enjoy a beautiful evening in Boston’s most blooming neighborhood:
Tuscan Kitchen’s pastas and breads are made fresh daily and their chefs prepare everything in house. Conveniently located next to VIA and Watermark, a meal here is truly a taste of authentic cultures from all over Italy. Their outdoor menu’s exquisite offerings include Burrata and Maine Lobster Ravioli. To go with either of these, a glass of the Pinot Nero Rosé will take you straight to the gorgeous region of Umbria.
As luxurious and filling a night out at Tuscan Kitchen is, maybe you’re looking for something a little more light – We’ve got you there too. Row 34’s raw bar is unmatched and a quick walk from Echelon. From Island Creek oysters from Duxbury to Little Neck clams from Barnstable, Row 34’s seafood is everything fruits of the sea should be: ultra-fresh, complex in taste, and delightfully paired with a dry white wine.
Going out just for drinks? Just steps away from Seaport in Fort Point, Drink is your best option for the most unique libations. They do not have a beverage menu – yes you heard us right. Instead, their fleet of master bartenders can create any cocktail you have in mind. But if you’re not quite sure what to ask for, just let them know some of your favorite flavors and they’ll craft your own bespoke beverage from scratch. Drink also currently features cocktail kits to go, perfect for Seaport and Fort Point locals.
So there you have it – just a few of the many culinary gems that call the Seaport home and are doing a fabulous job at maintaining safety in these unprecedented times. And for those looking for a new neck of the woods to settle in, we can’t recommend this exciting and eclectic neighborhood enough.
